This list of VHF/UHF beacons is compiled for IARU Region 1 by G0RDI, and it builds
upon the valuable work contributed by G3UUT. Thanks are also due to the VHF / UHF /
Microwave managers of radio societies across Region 1, beacon keepers, beacon
co-ordinators and VHF/UHF DXers too numerous to mention.
If the STATUS column for a beacon is blank, the beacon can be assumed to be "on air".
However, the reliability of this information can be judged by the source and date in
the "last update" column.
Entries which are shown in lighter italic text are for
beacons which have been reported as operational, but for which there is no IARU R1
coordination information on file.
Note that this list includes information regarding beacons notified to the R1
coordinator which operate (or are planned to operate) outside of the IARU R1 band
planned beacon segments due to local licensing requirements.
Also, at an Interim C5 Meeting (Vienna, 02/2010) it was proposed that the
6M beacon band will be relocated to 50.4000 - 50.5000 MHz, with all beacons moved or
closed down no later that 01/01/2013.
Again, some Member Societies may be unable to comply for local regulatory
reasons. As a general principle all beacons should move to band planned
frequencies as soon as possible.
All inputs are welcome, and should be sent to g0rdi_AT_77hz_DOT_com.
You are free to use information from this beacon list, but please acknowledge IARU
Region 1 and G0RDI if you do so.
